You thought the 1990's Scream-brand slasher films were over a decade ago, but Scream 4 has been cast! Before you start to get depressed, worry not because Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, and David Arquette will be back to star in the film; Adam Brody, Marley Shelton, and Erik Knudsen have also been cast.

Cultural Specific Flavors [more reasons japan is cooler than us]

Japan has Cucumber Ice flavored Pepsi. I'd take that any day over some of the flavors of soda we can buy here in the US.

What people consider "tasty" or a "delicacy" is culturally specific; you won't likely find many fans of soft-shell crab or shrimp-flavored Pringles potato chips here in the US, but over in the UK it's as standard as BBQ or Sour Cream & Onion.

















Of course there are many flavors put out by various companies besides Pepsi; Sprite Ice was introduced to Canada and Belgium in 2003.

Seattlites Have More Outdoor Sexytime [urban sex]

While Seattle locals may get the least sex of any urban area in the US, they have the most sexytime outdoors.

According to Gawker:

In a recent survey of 1,000 adults, the Trojan condom company found that while Seattle residents tend to have the least sex of any major metropolitan denizens, they have sex outdoors the most. Quality, not quantity?

I've used my favorite bacon from Bledsoe Pork in Woodland, CA (Davis Farmer's Market) to make traditional Scottish shortbread with stone ground rice flour, bacon fat, and bacon cracklin.

Between these two pieces of shortbread you'll find a marshmallow made with Vermont maple syrup and Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage Bourbon, surrounding a bacon fat and bacon cracklin caramel.

The whole thing is coated with a thick layer of my favorite blended chocolate, Michel Cluizel's 72% dark.

Per normal, the recipe is included.

Each order contains four pies at ~5.25oz each.

The 9" pie is ~5lbs (about 20 servings) and includes bacon ganache made with Michel Cluizel 72% dark chocolate and Bledsoe bacon.

Great news! You can now read propaganda from Al Qaeda in English! It's a magazine, and it's called "Inspire!"

It even includes a section on "how to make a bomb in kitchen of your mom" and "what to expect in jihad." Fantastic!

iPad Becomes MenuPad [tech]

A restaurant in Australia has employed the use of the MenuApp for the iPad and thus has replaced its menus with iPads.

According to Gawker:

The app allows the restaurant to easily change its menu, shows pictures of each dish, and also communicates orders directly to the kitchen, cutting down on server error. And, just to show off, it can even recommend dishes based on the weather or your mood. The video below shows the MenuPad at work.
